Sampling Protocol for Strawberry Leaves

When to Sample: Sample at the beginning of flowering, a stage that is easy to identify and coincides with a period of high metabolic activity.

Where: From the entire plot.

How: Sample the youngest mature leaves, those that have just completed their growth and are fully expanded.

Quantity: 100 leaves sampled from the entire plot per sample.

Conditioning: Place the batch of leaves in a clean, sturdy plastic bag. Label each batch clearly with: Name, address, variety, date of sampling, and plot reference.

Precautions: Send to the laboratory as soon as possible, ensuring that the sample is not exposed to sunlight.
